As global developments continue to dissapoint and alarm, our bodies may experience increased stress levels. Let us remember that our inner state shapes how we perceive and, in turn, how we engage with the world, espeically with our closest ones. Somatic practices of stress relief and resilience are crucial in times like these, not only because of their calming effect but because they offer a ground for cultivating kindness and empathy in our relationships, despite the challenges of fears and frustrations. They also help us gain clarity and strength to resist the tendencies of hatred and exclusion and seek meaningful ways to contribute to society.
This workshop will involve plenty of regenerating movement and breath practices, while focusing on the areas of the face, throat, and organs of the digestive system—key spaces where stress manifests—to release the tension, restore balance, and deepen the mind-body connection.
